As a fitness professional some of you may be shocked to learn that during Lockdown and across the school summer holidays, I personally have really struggled with my diet & fitness. This pandemic has affected everyone differently and I know no one who has not felt stressed or anxious at some point. Unfortunately, my go to when I am stressed and anxious is alcohol and food.
Over the first month I lost 7 pounds as I felt so nervous, scared, and worried. I ran every day and ate incredibly healthy meals as my fitness, diet and health felt like the only thing I could control… After month one I did a complete 180! I started having alcohol 4-5 days per week, I started baking cakes with my children (up to 4 per week), and my mantra of “cake, chocolate, crisps and booze are only for the weekend” was gone! I started drinking more and snacking terribly. The result? Feeling sluggish and not wanting to exercise, and this all inevitably lead me to low mood, and a huge increase in weight of 17 pounds!
So as a fitness professional I have had to give myself a real shake and think it is “Time to take it back”
I have set a date for when the healthy eating plan, and new fitness plans kick off. For me it is the first full week our children go back to school, 17th Aug, and my goals is to lose one stone by the October holidays. I know this is achievable for me and I intend to work hard to get there.
So if like me you need to turn the tide on poor eating, excess drinking, and want to take time for you to get fit, let us help you!
We will establish a timescale for your goals, work on a healthy eating and fitness plan. We will add you to our Facebook group so you can share (if you want to) good and bad days (bad days…. We all have them!)
